About us

The Heart of Community, Is Families.

Welcome to the CubHouse

The CubHouse isn’t just a play space; it’s where kids can be kids, parents can feel supported, and families can grow closer together.

We believe family is the heart of a healthy community. Whatever season of life you’re in, The CubHouse is designed to be a haven of joy and connection.

  • For the busy parent: Let your child’s imagination soar while you enjoy a moment to breathe, relax, and recharge.
  • For the loving grandparent: Share in laughter, creativity, and cherished memories.
  • For the new to town family: Discover friendship, support, and a place to belong.

How we began

The foundation was laid before The CubHouse existed, when a small group of people at Kingdom Community Church shared a vision to start a faith-based community development nonprofit, creating new opportunities to serve and support local families.

One of the first initiatives to emerge from this work was Bright Path Collective, thanks to the kids Pastor and a group of compassionate kids ministry leaders. Together, they created a place where children could explore, create, and build friendships while supporting local homeschool families.

One of the children’s ministry teachers, already leading thriving mom’s groups in the community, had visited similar play spaces in other states and longed for something like that in Oroville. We saw the need, and with the teamwork of our board of directors and the generous hearts of our community, The CubHouse became a reality.

As a nonprofit play space, The CubHouse exists to make play, learning, and connection accessible to every family with young children. Thanks to our sponsors and community partners, we are able to:

    • Offer low rates to all members.
    • Keep playtimes small so parents and children don’t feel overwhelmed.
    • Create a safe, joyful environment where children and families can thrive.

We can’t wait to welcome you!

More than just a play space!
